SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has selected an unchanged starting line-up for this afternoon’s match at Mansfield Town after Luke Prosser failed a late fitness test on a fractured cheekbone.
The centre-back had the injury operated on yesterday and is not yet ready to return to action meaning Adam Thompson and Mark Phillips will again start at the heart of the defence.
The rest of the side also remains the same with Ryan Leonard, Will Atkinson and Michael Timlin all lining up in midfield.
But there is one change for Blues on the bench with goalkeeper Paul Smith coming back in to the squad after recovering from a back spasm to replace his namesake Ted.
