SOUTHEND United centre-back Luke Prosser is a doubt for tomorrow’s game with Exeter City after injuring his calf in training.
The defender has missed Blues’ last two games with a fractured cheekbone.
But manager Phil Brown is now sweating on a different kind of injury.
“Luke has taken a kick to the calf in training and right now I would say he’s 50/50 for the game,” said Brown.
“We will have to wait and see how he responds to treatment but hopefully he will be OK.”
On loan Burnley right-back Luke O’Neill is also back in contention after recovering from a thigh strain but will also face a late fitness test.
“Luke has trained for the last couple of days but he’s missed a month’s worth of football so we will have to see how he is too,” added Brown.
The Shrimpers will definitely be without midfielder Conor Clifford as he begins a four match ban after being sent off at Mansfield Town last weekend.
