IT was third time lucky for Billericay as they took a step closer to a Twickenham final.
Billericay defeated Old Gravesendians 33-15 at Saracens’ Allianz Park home after two attempts to play the RFU Junior Vase fifth round tie were called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Rochford Hundred enjoyed a 33-10 win over Norwich in London One North, with the result leaving the Magnolia Road side third in the table.
But South Woodham Ferrer’s trip to Norfolk ended in a 26-20 defeat to Holt. The win saw the sixth-placed hosts close to within three points of fifth-placed South Woodham.
Stanford le Hope secured a 24-15 win at Kings Cross Steelers in Essex Two, which leaves them in sixth spot and nine points adrift of the fifth-placed Steelers.
Southend’s National Two South match against Cambridge at Warners Bridge was postponed, with London One North leaders Westclilff seeing their match with Chingford at The Gables suffering the same fate.
