BILLERICAY continue their quest for a Twickenham final when they travel to Seaford in the London semi-finals of the RFU Junior Vase tomorrow.

Billericay set up the clash by beating Old Gravesendians 33-15 last weekend.

And head coach David Hyett was thrilled by his side’s display as they moved to within three wins of playing at the world famous home of English rugby.

“I was delighted by the performance and it shows the quality we have in this squad when given the stage and last weekend was certainly a big stage,” said Hyett.

“We were simply brilliant at times.

“Our energy, endeavour and desire to play and get after games is growing week by week and we will need that against Seaford tomorrow.

“If we were slightly more clinical at the weekend we could have put four tries past them within the first quarter but it is understandable after training indoors and not having played since early January.

“The big picture is that we are only a few wins from another great day in Billericay’s history and I have the upmost faith in these players that they will get us there.”

Billericay head in to the game sitting top of Essex One while Seaford are sixth in Sussex One.
