Phil Brown, Southend United manager:
"We got a clean sheet which is a positive for us but we weren't good enough with the ball in the final third and that's frustrating.
"We didn't look like scoring but I thought Cian Bolger did well on his debut for us. He was certainly in the wars and had to have five or six stitches on an eye wound before he went off with an ankle injury.
"But hopefully he can come through OK and be available for the match at Northampton on Tuesday."
