SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made two changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s game against Wycombe Wanderers at Roots Hall, with John Egan being handed his debut.
The on loan Sunderland defender has gone straight in to the side alongside Mark Phillips at the heart of the back four while Kevan Hurst has also come back in to the starting line-up.
As a result, Marc Laird and Lee Barnard have both dropped down on to the bench along with goalkeeper Luke Chambers who has been preferred to Paul Smith.
Conor Clifford has also been selected among the substitutes on his return from a four match suspension.
Southend United: Bentley, White, Egan, Phillips, Coker, Leonard, Atkinson, Timlin, Hurst, Corr, Straker
Subs: Laird, Eastwood, Clifford, Payne, Chambers, Gomis & Barnard
