BASILDON United have confirmed Colin Cook will be their manager next season.
Cook, who had a spell in charge of the Essex Senior League side six years ago, was placed in temporary charge for the final two games of last season following the departure of Laurie Carter.
Craig Gillam will remain as Cook's assistant while the Bees have also announced David Maxwel as their new chairman.
Cook told the Echo two weeks ago that he would like the job on a permanent basis and was confident he could build on the Bees' eighth-placed finish last season.
He said: "People know the quality of players I can bring with me and I have been surprised by the quality of players here already."
