FITZWIMARC School are celebrating smashing the championship record at the Castle Point & Rochford District Athletics Championships.
Pupils from the Rayleigh School amassed a staggering 232 points at the championships held at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford, beating the previous record by 22 points.
And the school’s head of PE Danny Cowley was full of praise for his young athletes, particularly the Year 11 pupils who signed off from the school in style.
Cowley said: “All students performed brilliantly, giving their very best for the team. Breaking the Castle Point & Rochford District points record is an apt way for our Year 11s to finish their FitzWimarc School sporting careers.”
