REECE Topley claimed the second 10-wicket match haul of his career with Essex on top against Glamorgan.
The visitors began day three 36-runs behind from the first innings and lost Tom Lancefield to Topley for two.
Jacques Rudolph (46) and Will Bragg (46) put on 48 for the second wicket to wipe out the deficit.
Rudolph was caught by skipper and wicketkeeper off the bowling of Jesse Ryder.
But Topley (4-51), who has now taken 10-92 in the match, returned to help reduce Glamorgan to 188-8 by close, leading by only 152 runs.
The 20-year-old is playing his first Championship match of the season after injuring his back in pre-season.
Topley’s second victim of the day was Ben Wright who was bowled to leave the Welsh county on 104-3. The visitors had only progressed to 118 when the fourth wicket fell, with Topley bowling Christopher Cooke for four runs.
Ryder then caught Bragg to make the Glamorgan player the first of Moore’s victims of the innings and leave the visitors rocking on 122-5.
Captain and wicketkeeper Mark Wallace contributed 15 runs from 56 deliveries before becoming Topley’s final victim of the day as Glamorgan reached 159-6.
Jim Allenby then saw Moore take two victims for the addition of just six runs.
Graham Wagg survived just two deliveries before being caught by Greg Smith off a Moore delivery for a duck.
Dean Cosker hit a four and had a single to his inning before being caught by Smith off Moore’s bowling as Glamorgan slipped to 166-8.
But Allenby ended the day unbeaten on 34 with Michael Hogan on 11 not out going into the final day at Chelmsford.
