THE BOROUGH of Southend Swimming Club is celebrating a medal haul at this year’s county championships.
The club’s 28 winners won 14 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 14 bronze medals between them, smashing personal bests and setting club records in the process. Of the 27 clubs in the competition, BOSS finished seventh.
Many of the club’s county swimmers are now preparing to head to the East of England Regional Championships.
“All the volunteer coaches are immensely proud of all the swimmers at the club,” said head coach Nikki Spurgeon. “They show such commitment and dedication to the club and their swimming.”
