This latest transfer news is a bit of a mixed bag.
Straker was infuriatingley inconsistent and had more bad games than good, but did have genuine pace which we really lacked throughout the team.
Tomlin was a very good player for us but at 31 and injury prone he's hardly one for the future, and as for Appiah......possibly the least popular away player to come to Roots Hall last season......dived and moaned and conned the ref the whole match vs Wmbledon eventually being subbed to a chorus of boo's........having said that he won their pen which won the match.....maybe if he's in a blue shirt next season and creating chances we might just forgive him? I hope PB's other transfer targets are a little more popular.

I can remember when Ronaldo faked and got Beckham sent off in an important match. Some fans hated him. But he is still one of the greatest footballers in the world.

Really? What match was that? I remember the Ronaldo-Rooney incident, I remember the Beckham-Simeone incident, but Ronaldo-Beckham?
