YOUNGSTERS at Hadleigh Infant School have enjoyed a string of gymnastics successes.
The children represented the Castle Point and Rochford region in the Essex Finals of the Castle Point and Rochford Key Steps Gymnastics Competition at the Basildon Sporting Village.
Both Year 1 and Year 2 pupils excelled at the competition, with the Year 2 team coming first and becoming the Essex Key Stage One champions, and the Year One team putting in a terrific performance to come in second place.
This success followed a similar pattern after they qualified for the finals, having come first and second in qualifying at the Deanes School at the end of April.
Headteacher Brenda Dalley said she was thrilled with the childrens’ success.
“It is brilliant,” she said. “We have quite a flair for gymnastics at the school and were Essex Champions two years ago as well.
“Well done to all the children taking part.”
