DIVISION ONE:

Hadleigh & Thundersley will be looking to extend their unbeaten run when they host Woodford Wells in Division One this weekend.

Second-placed Hadleigh have not been beaten in their last five games. And bowler Dave Williams is keen to keep it going with another win against sixth-placed Woodford.

“We’ve been doing well in the last few games and want to try to keep it going for as long as we can,” said Williams.

“Woodford will be another big test but we’re all very confident at the moment.”

Hadleigh saw off Southend & EMT last weekend and the Seasiders will be looking to bounce back at table-topping Colchester this weekend.

And skipper Joe Robbins is keen to spring a surprise.

“With the league so tight, a couple of defeats could mean being in the bottom two but a couple of wins could mean being in the top two, so it’s crucial we don’t lose two on the bounce,” said Robbins.

“But having already lost to Colchester this season we know they’re a very decent side and we will have to be at the top of our game to come away with 20 points.”

Second-from-bottom Wickford will also be looking to get back on track when they host Harlow, who sit just above them in the table.

“It’s an important game for us and hopefully we can carry on from where we left off against Gilbraltar in our game we had against them last weekend,” said Wickford skipper Andy Baker.
