FORMER Southend United full-back Sean Clohessy said he had no hesitation in joining their Essex rivals Colchester United.
Clohessy, who spent three years at Blues before joining Kilmarnock last summer, has signed a two-year deal with League One side Colchester.
And the 27-year-old, who turned out more than 150 times for Southend, said he hopes to find his best form again north of the county.
Clohessy said: “I enjoyed my time at Southend – they were the best three years of my career.
“But now I want to bring that consistency and that sort of level of football to Colchester."
