Shakespeare Schools Festival (SSF) is the UK's largest youth drama festival. Every year we work with over 120 theatres and inspire 32,000 young people from more than 1000 schools to challenge themselves through performing. With patrons including Sir Tom Stoppard, Dame Judi Dench and Kevin Spacey, we offer young people and their teachers the chance to direct and perform abridged Shakespeare performances in professional theatres across the UK, providing all the tools, support and guidance necessary to take students of all backgrounds on an unforgettable, life-changing journey.
“Every child in every school ought to have the chance to experience this magical process” - Philip Pullman
