PLAYERS

I asked my daughter this morning ‘is daddy gonna score’. She said yes.

@mylesweston

Great result against a physical team. Lads stayed strong and fully deserved the three points. Got a good feeling about this season. Fans were class.

@kevanhurst14

Not a pretty game but the main thing is the three points.

@cbolger92

What a result. Great team performance. Great atmosphere, fans were great again.

@conorclifford91

Great win. Great team performance. We got the job done.

@shaqcoulthirst

Buzzing to get another win and clean sheet. Very solid, same again Tuesday! Support was class as usual. Onwards and upwards.

@dan_bentley1

FANS

Not the greatest of games but stood up to a physical Stevenage which shows we can mix it. Couple of well taken goals too.

@deanallum

Really looking forward to this season. The whole place is getting ready for something special.

@sufcbadges

Conor Clifford was man of the match for me. Looks really strong.

@bspc2000

Solid performance. Defence very good. Need to be better in front of goal.

@rfuller22

We were stronger against a strong team and played football. Players look very fit. This is our year. Clifford man of the match again. Stupid and needless booking but was again the driving force and work-rate in the middle. Also composed on the ball.

@harrisufc

In my opinion, it’s the most optimistic start to a season we’ve had in years as fans. I’m well excited.

@cian_cfc

I think there is a lot of hard work to go yet but two clean sheets is encouraging.

@philsilver9

Coker, Clifford and Weston all have a claim for man of the match. Bentley’s two saves were important too. Barry Corr man of the match. Set up both goals and was a thorn in Stevenage’s side all game

@jimmyshrimp4

Coker man of the match for his consistency or Bentley who made two great saves. Clifford disappeared for a good while before reappearing late on.

@charles_colin

I thought Myles Weston had a great game and also a shout out for the two spectacular saves by Bentley.

@carlnelson10

Conor Clifford looked really strong

@mrdmay

Always especially pleasant to beat anti-football teams like Stevenage.

@ice_speedway

Weston and Clifford were great. Would like to see us pass/play the ball more consistently.

@ryansinclaiir

Phil Brown has got a really decent squad together, good solid performance. Clifford is a revelation.

@stonkerama

Professional and very solid. Superb goal by Ben Coker. Feel good factor starting to build.
