THE Shrimpers Trust have agreed to continue their sponsorship of Southend United’s youth set up.

The fans organisation have backed Blues’ young players for the past six seasons.

And the Trust’s Paul Yeomanson is pleased to again be helping with the development of the Shrimpers’ future stars.

“We are pleased that our association with the youth team has continued this season,” said Yeomanson.

“We would like to think that our members’ money has been well invested when you see the likes of Daniel Bentley and Jack Payne both playing for the first team and young keeper Ted Smith signing a pro deal and being called up for the England under 19s.

“It shows the work that Ricky Duncan and his staff do with the youngsters is paying off and we can say that we have played a part in their continued success”.

The Trust are also still on the lookout for new members.

This can be done online at www.shrimperstrust.co.uk or in the Shrimpers Bar prior to any home game.

People can also join up for two years by sending a cheque for £10 payable to The Shrimpers Trust to: The Shrimpers Trust, PO Box 5830, Southend on Sea, Essex, SS1 9FD.
