THERE have not been too many plus points for Westcliff at the start of the National Three London & SE season, but the fine form of Greg Bannister has been one of them.

The winger has bagged four tries in the opening five games of the new campaign.

But those matches have all ended in defeats for bottom of the table Westcliff.

And Bannister is hoping to help break that duck when they head to Tring tomorrow.

“We are expecting a tough game this weekend like they all are in this league but they haven't had a great start just like us,” said Bannister.

“We think we can go up there and get a good result to kick-start our season.

“We have spoken for few weeks about things we can work on and I think we are starting to see improvements in the games week after week.

“Hopefully we can get a win this weekend.”

Tring sit just above Westcliff in the table and have triumphed in just one of their five games this season.
