CLOSE to 1,000 Southend United fans have already snapped up discounted tickets for this Saturday’s clash at table-topping Wycombe Wanderers.
Shrimpers chairman Ron Martin has subsided ticket prices by £5 for the clash at Adams Park.
He has also laid on 10 free coaches for fans to get to the game free of charge.
And Blues boss Phil Brown hopes to see his side roared on by a huge travelling contingent of supporters this weekend.
“I would be absolutely fantastic if we were to have 1,500 to 2,000 fans there on Saturday,” said Brown.
“I went to Wycombe last weekend to see their game against AFC Wimbledon and the atmosphere was fantastic.
“Wimbledon had around 400 fans there and they certainly made themselves heard.
“The away team is given a large section of the stadium and it excites me that it’s going to be filled with Southend fans.
“It will really be the icing on the cake for the players when they run out and I hope as many fans as possible come along.
“It’s obviously an important fixture and having a big away following behind us would really make a big difference.”
