SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made one enforced change to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s game at Portsmouth with Michael Timlin replacing the suspended Gary Deegan.
Timlin has been on the bench for five of the Shrimpers’ last six games but has now been given another chance in the side.
However, the rest of the team remains unchanged as striker Barry Corr has again been selected among the substitutes despite scoring the winning goal at Oxford United last weekend.
Winger Kevan Hurst is also on the bench after recovering from a hamstring problem but there is no place in the squad for Adam Barrett.
Southend United: Bentley, White, Thompson, Binnom-Williams, Coker, Worrall, Leonard, Timlin, Atkinson,Cassidy, Pigott
Subs: P Smith, Prosser, Corr, Weston, Hurst, Coulthirst & Payne
