KEVAN Hurst is likely to be facing a spell on the sidelines after Blues boss Phil Brown revealed the winger tore his hamstring during Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Cambridge United.

Hurst limped out of the action after just 31 minutes.

And Brown is now nervously awaiting more news.

“It’s disappointing because Kevan’s just coming back to form,” said the former Hull City chief.

“For some reason his hamstring tightened up and he mentioned it to us about five minutes before we made the change.

“We were going to make the substitution anyway and then his last piece of action, which was a whipped cross, led to him feeling it go.

“He felt a sharp pain so I’m treating it as a hamstring tear but we will know more in the next couple of days or so.”
