SOUTHEND United centre-back Luke Prosser is recovering at home after being knocked unconscious during the Shrimpers’ 0-0 draw against Cambridge United on Saturday.
Prosser fell to the floor after being struck by a powerful Ryan Donaldson free-kick midway through the second half at Roots Hall.
But Blues boss Phil Brown revealed the 26-year-old has now come out of hospital.
“Pross was released from hospital last night with concussion,” said Brown.
“He will need assessment all week before being released to train.”
