FALKIRK gaffer John Hughes today refused to apologise for being a party-pooper. The 1-1 draw with Hibs had been turned into Russell Latapy day by the Bairns in honour of the Trinidad and Tobago star who was presented with a kilt and other gifts.
But Yogi kept the 40-year-old warming the bench and admitted he got a kick out of playing the pantomime villain.
The Falkirk gaffer said: "It would have been nice to put Russell on but, then again, it is always nice to spoil the party! Russell has been different class for us but in this business you can't let sentiment come into it. It was vital we got something from the game and, in that respect, you have to be prepared to make tough calls."
