FOUR Southend United players are set to sign new deals to stay with the Shrimpers.
Skipper John White is close to putting pen to paper on a new two year contract along with influential winger David Worrall and tough tackling midfielder Gary Deegan.
Highly-rated left-back Ben Coker is also expected to sign a new three year contract to extend his spell with the Shrimpers.
And Blues boss Phil Brown is pleased the quartet have all agreed to stay.
“It’s fantastic news that the four players are close to signing the deals,” said Brown.
“It’s given us a real boost ahead of the new season.”
