BLUES striker Noel Hunt faces a late fitness test on a foot injury ahead of tonight’s clash at Doncaster Rovers.
The 32-year-old was forced to miss Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Walsall at Roots Hall.
And Shrimpers boss Phil Brown does not yet know if the Irishman will be available at the Keepmoat Stadium.
“Noel Hunt will have a fitness test and fingers crossed he can get his boot on this time,” said Brown.
“He’s been talking about having an injection to get through the game but it’s very early in the season to be doing that.”
Midfielder Anthony Wordsworth is also a doubt for this evening’s game after being struck down by a sickness bug.
“We will also be making a late decision on Anthony,” added Brown.
