Lined up in a 4-2-2 formation

GK – Lee Worgan: Possibly the best goalkeeper in non-league football. At Maidstone last season we never had doubts with Worgs. He's a very comfortable goalie and maybe one of the least craziest I've played with, but they are a mad breed.

RB – Graeme Shinnie: Shinnie was vice captain when I was with Inverness and he was only 21 which shows the respect he deserved. He's dedicated, predominantly a left back but he played the occasional game on the right.

LB – Tom Mills: The most laid back footballer I've played with. He was so easy to play in front of at Maidstone, and we produced a good combination on the left. I honestly believe if someone told him Man United were interested in him he'd still shrug his shoulders.

CB - Javier Zanetti: A world class defender that I was lucky to train and play with. One of the fittest players in the history of football and also one of the hardest to tackle. I can't remember ever seeing him lose the ball even when he went on his wild runs out from the back.

CB – Lewis Dunk: Dunky was always a top laugh when I spent my time at Brighton and he was the only one at the time out of the under-21s that had broken into the first team and he hasn’t looked back. His golf swing needed improvement though.

CM – Patrick Vieira: For one of the invincibles Vieira was very down to earth at his time with Inter. When I first trained with them he was always helping me with the language barrier. This resulted in me managing to slide one through his legs and I never let him live it down. One of my favourite moments at Inter! He only became intimidating in the showers.

RM – Francesco Bellitta: Cesco was like me at Calcio Como (in Serie B). We were on loan from Inter but I hadn't had much chance to play with him before this as he was the year below. He was one of the most technical wingers I've played with and helped me fit in in the first couple of months as he was the only one I knew and could understand English.

CM – Yaser Kasim: Yaser was one of the under-21s at Brighton and we had some good battles playing poker. He was wasted at Brighton because he didn't play much but ever since he moved to Swindon he's proved to be the player that he is, and represents Iraq now. He could dominate any game, wouldn't nick many goals but he's the player every team needs.

ST - Billy McKay: Billy's a striker you can't afford to underestimate. Give him a yard and he'll score and once he finds his rhythm he won't stop. The happiest guy on a night out with Inverness, he's one I wouldn't let turn down going out. There's anger inside him though that he lets out on the golf course.

ST – Mattia Destro: I stayed with Tia at our living arrangements at Inter. He was highly rated in Italy but wasn't given many chances at Inter, which gave me the opportunity to play with him week in week out for the reserves. He was quiet, focused, and interested in learning a bit of English. Not one to come on our shopping trips to Milan.

LM – Ashley Carew: Hard to chose this position as it's been my own over of the years, but Ash came in to Ebbsfleet on the wing just before I left. He's the only player that can play any non-league match like it’s a five-a-side game. And he's definitely got the record for the most cigars smoked in one game.
