SOUTHEND & EMT will clinch promotion to the Premier Division with a win a Hornchurch tomorrow.

Southend head into the game sitting second in the standings, just a point clear of Shenfield.

But Southend face the toughest possible test this weekend as they head to champions Hornchurch.

And skipper Joe Robbins is expecting an incredibly difficult last game.

“We’re under no false pretences that Saturday will be an extremely tough game,” said Robbins.

“Hornchurch have walked the league this year and playing at home I'm sure they'll want to finish the season in style.

“But we only narrowly lost to them earlier in the year and, after Saturday's win, we'll also be going there full of confidence.

“Come 7pm tomorrow we will know we have given it everything this year and if that see us promoted, then it's an unreal achievement.

“If we miss out, then it's congratulations to Shenfield but we can really walk away from this year with our heads held high.”

Shenfield head to sixth placed Woodford Wells this weekend while, at the other end of the table, seventh placed Hadleigh & Thundersley host Harlow.

Hadleigh head into the game just eight points above the relegation zone and will be doing all their can to maintain their Division One status for another season.
