DAVE Robertson has left his role as under 21 manager of Southend United to take control of Irish Premier League side Sligo Rovers.
The former Peterborough United chief has been at Roots Hall for less than a month.
But he has now decided to head to Ireland.
“I am delighted to be coming to work at Sligo Rovers,” Robertson said.
“I know it is a big club with big expectations.
"The club has had some good times for the last few years and I want to bring that back."
Robertson was Blues’ second under 21 manager of the season after replacing Dale Brooks who himself spent just two months in the job.
Former Shrimpers midfielder Kevin Maher, who is already working in the youth set-up at the club, is now favourite to take control.
But Southend boss Phil Brown was not willing to discuss the situation.
