ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE: BOWERS & Pitsea’s FA Vase journey continues when they travel to Ipswich Wanderers tomorrow.

Rob Small’s team will be looking to book their place in the last eight of the competition as a date at Wembley looms closer. Ipswich are struggling in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, and find themselves in 14th, although they have already upset the apple cart this season.

Canvey Island were beaten by Wanderers in the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup this season, and should not be taken lightly. Bowers won 4-1 at London Bari in the league on Wednesday.

BASILDON UNITED were surprisingly beaten by Ilford in the week, and they will be looking for a return to winning ways against Sporting Bengal United.

Basildon are second to FC Romania in the league, while Sporting Bengal are in 13th position.

The Bees are without Brendan Cavalier, Grant Hayward, Russell Harley, Taylor Sinfield, Brad Hunter, George Light, while Brad Warner is a doubt.

HULLBRIDGE SPORTS visit London Bari, as they aim to bridge the gap on the sides at the top of the standings.

A win could lift Sports into eighth, although Bari are currently locked on the same amount of points as Rob Hodgson’s men. Striker Luke Hornsley is a doubt, as is Rory Clarke. Reece Brandon has flu.

SOUTHEND MANOR visit Eton Manor (although if their FA Vase tie is postponed Bowers will travel to Eton Manor).

Christy O’Donoghue, Callum Jex and Robbie Norris are doubts. Lawrence Priddle could return in goal.
