THE PREVIEW: Great Wakering Rovers welcome Waltham Abbey to Burroughs Park this weekend in desperate need of points.
The match is a repeat of Gary Ansell’s first match in charge back in October. It finished 2-2 that day but Wakering are in desperate need of all three points come tomorrow evening.
Their only win since the end of October came against Redbridge last month, and manager Gary Ansell has set his sights on a better performance than last time out.
Brightlingsea Regent were 4-1 winners, with Stuart Hepburn dismissed after just three minutes, while Max Kent was also sent off in the closing exchanges.
Waltham Abbey are six points worse off than Wakering but have won their last two matches against Wroxham and Dereham.
WHAT HE SAYS: Wakering manager Gary Ansell said: “We are looking to get some points on the board and, although we are above them, Waltham Abbey have picked up some very good results in recent weeks and brought in some good players.
“This weekend’s result wont make or break our season but it is a game that we should be taking some points from and we are preparing in the right way.
“I am not disheartened by the performances, although the results are slightly disheartening.
“But we want to put on a good show for the fans tomorrow and we are confident that we have the players to get the right result.”
