STUART Bingham was left ruing missed chances as he was edged out in the third round of the Riga Masters.

The Vange potter was defeated 4-3 by Michael Holt, despite leading at three separate intervals in the encounter.

Bingham had beaten Lee Walker and Fergal O’Brien last Thursday and Friday to set up the match with Holt and he started well in Latvia.

The 40-year-old made his biggest break of the match when he scored 115 in the first frame, before edging out the third and fifth frames.

And Bingham looked set to wrap up the match in the sixth frame but a break of 51 from Holt drew the match level.

And Holt wrapped up the match with a break of 69, although he went on to lose in the final to Neil Robertson.

Bingham returns to action against Steven Hallworth next Tuesday in the Indian Open.
