CONCORD Rangers and Canvey Island go head-to-head tomorrow as the two renew their rivalry ahead of their respective league campaigns.

The Beach Boys are back in action next weekend as they begin their National League South campaign, with the Gulls not starting until August 13.

Both see this as ideal preparation for the new season, with the game to kick-off at the Frost Financial Stadium at 3pm.

Concord will be hoping to bounce back from Wednesday night’s defeat to Braintree Town, as they were beaten 3-1 by the National League outfit.

Steve Cawley scored the Concord goal, a delightful free-kick from range, and the Beach Boys are expected to field another strong side tomorrow.

Concord have also added former Norwich City, Lowestoft and Fleetwood Town midfielder Harvey Hodd to their ranks.

East Thurrock United are another just a week away from starting their league programme, and they can be sure of a tough test when Ryman Premier League new boys Harlow Town pay a visit to Rookery Hill.

Harlow, hugely impressive in winning the Ryman North play-off final last season, will likely face a strong East Thurrock side, with manager John Coventry all but completing his squad ahead of the new season.

The match kick-off at 3pm.

Billericay Town travel to Ryman North side Thurrock, with both teams putting the finishing touches to their squads ahead of the new season.

Craig Edwards has bolstered his Billericay squad with a number of new signings in the past fortnight, having impressed against a number of professional teams so far in pre-season.

And they are likely to feature tomorrow at Ship Lane (kick-off 3pm).

Great Wakering Rovers visit Erith & Belvedere, with manager Gary Ansell looking for a response after Tuesday’s 5-2 reverse against Canvey Island.

The match is an early kick-off – 12noon.

Southend Manor do not begin their competitive season for another week so travel to Hailsham Town, from the Southern Combination Football Premier Division.
