SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown believes his side will be under a different kind of pressure when they host Shrewsbury Town tomorrow.

The Shrews sit bottom of the League One table without a win since early September.

And Brown feels that will increase the expectancy levels on the Shrimpers.

“This week brings a different kind of challenge and pressure as it’s against a team we’re expected to beat,” said Brown.

“Maybe in the past couple of games that’s not been the case away from home but it will be this weekend and we’ll have to able to deal with that if we’re to get the three points we all want.

“Touch wood we seem to have turned a little point of a corner now and we’re unbeaten in the last three but we won’t be getting carried away.

“Shrewsbury have a new manager in Paul Hurst and the players will all be looking to impress him.”

Blues head into tomorrow’s game having picked up seven points from the last nine.

Children can also watch the match this weekend for just £1.
