STUDENTS from Crowstone Preparatory School scored a big hit in the Independent Schools Association athletic championships.
After a string of good performances in the regional finals at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford, a group of pupils were involved in the national final.
This was staged at the world famous Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham and Spencer Brachen-Fleming finished fifth in the year five 150 metres.
In the same age group Billy Pullen took sixth place in the 600 metres.
Chloe Verhoeff bravely defended her high jump title, this time as a year six student, although suffering from illness, but still achieved a commendable sixth place.
And the relay team of year five boys were fifth for the school, which has sites at Westcliff and Shopland.
