SOUTHEND United have signed striker Frank Nouble until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who has been on trial with the Shrimpers, will go straight into the squad for Saturday's clash with Bolton Wanderers.
And Blues boss Phil Brown is determined to bring the best out of the former Gillingham forward.
“People have mentioned Frank’s work-rate to me but he will have no option but to work hard in our team,” said Brown.
“He’s got pace and he’s a powerful boy so I’m happy to be bringing him in.
“He’s got real presence about him being six foot three inches tall and we’ve seen glimpses of his quality in training.
“He’s also very determined to take this opportunity.”
Nouble made his first professional appearance while with West Ham United and scored three goals in 13 games while with Gillingham earlier on this season
