EAST Thurrock United make the trip to Gosport Borough as they look to return to winning ways in the National League South.

Rocks’ match on Saturday was called off because of a frozen pitch and they will hope the trip south is not in vain, in what will be a rare midweek league encounter - their last being September’s draw at Chelmsford.

Gosport sit just two points above the relegation places ahead of kick-off, but are nine points worse off than John Coventry’s men.

Rocks won the reverse fixture 5-1, their first home victory in the second tier of non-league football - with Harry Honesty netting a brace that day.

Basildon United return to Essex Senior League action tonight after an enforced two week break.

The Bees have been hit by several postponements and have not had a match since defeat against Heybridge Swifts in the quarter-final of the Essex Senior Cup.

They visit Sawbridgeworth Town, hoping to improve upon their 10th place position.

Hullbridge Sports host Stanway Rovers in the Tolleshunt D’Arcy Cup.

Sports’ match on Saturday was also postponed because of a frozen pitch.
