l RUNDOWN: Billericay Town start their final assault on the Ryman Premier League play-off places when they do battle with struggling Hendon tomorrow.

Having booked their place in the Ryman League Cup final on Tuesday with a 4-3 victory over South Park, Billericay now have 10 straight league matches which will all but determine whether they will be in contention for a top five spot come the end of April.

And, following last weekend’s defeat at bottom club Grays Athletic, victory against 22nd placed Hendon is paramount if they are to achieve that target.

However, February has not been a bad month for Hendon, who have won one and drawn two of their four matches so far.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Town boss Craig Edwards said: “We are not written off in terms of the play-offs but we know it will be a tall order.

“Hendon are fighting down there. I have won leagues before and the toughest games are often against those down at the bottom. The sides at the top are nervy, those in the middle don’t have much to play for and the ones down there are scrapping to stay in the division.

“Last Saturday (against Grays) proves there is no game you can say is a given three points.

“But we have 23 goals in eight games and have depth now so the team is in a good place.”

l TEAM NEWS: Olly Sprague and Abs Seymour, cup tied in the week, return to the squad. Joe Ellul begins a three match suspension on Tuesday.

Captain Rob Swaine and fellow defender Priestley Farquharson are doubts.

Ricky Sappleton is out for the season, but remains part of Edwards’ plans.
