Wealdstone 1-1 Concord Rangers

(Whichelow 83': Miles 68')

From The Vale

National League South

CONCORD Rangers were pegged back late on by 10-man Wealdstone as they earned another point in their National League South survival bid.

The Beach Boys had led following a thunderous strike from Taylor Miles, only for Matt Whichelow to equalise in the final eight minutes.

Concord started the brighter and arguably should have led much earlier than they did.

Jordan Chiedozie and Lyle Della-Verde had excellent chances, although goalkeeper Bailey Vose was required to make a neat stop up the other end.

The visitors were given a boost when Aryan Tajbakhsh was shown a straight red card following an aerial challenge with James White, just after the hour mark.

And five minutes later they were ahead. Miles picked up the ball in a wide position and flashed a fierce curling effort in off the far post.

Substitute Tony Stokes was denied a second five minutes later before Wealdstone levelled.

Whichelow received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and he drive a fine effort past Vose with seven minutes remaining.
