THOUSANDS of fans flocked to Southend United’s annual Meet the Blues Day event this afternoon.
Fans watched the Shrimpers’ first team squad in training before queuing to meet the players.
And Blues boss Phil Brown was delighted to see so many supporters in attendance.
“It’s brilliant,” said Brown.
“I was a bit worried about the weather but a great crowd has turned out and it’s been really enjoyable.”
The day also saw Southend unveil their new home and away kits for next season before Steve Tilson, Mark Bentley, Kevin Maher and Duncan Jupp were among those to play in an match featuring a number of former players.
