I THINK I speak for everyone when I say we can’t wait to get back out there against Plymouth Argyle tomorrow.

The manner of our defeat at Rotherham United on Saturday means this week has felt much longer than normal and we all know we need to go and put things right.

The Rotherham match was a massive disappointment and we just never seemed to get going.

We thought before the game that we might have to weather an early spell of pressure as it was their first home match of the season following on from an opening day defeat.

But we found ourselves 2-0 down in the opening 16 minutes and they quickly added a third. From then on it was always going to be difficult but we have to view that us a kick up the backside now.

We’re all hurting about what happened but we have to maintain the faith we have in ourselves.

We showed in our first game of the season against Blackburn that we’re a good side and what happened at Rotherham hasn’t changed that.

But now it’s all about making sure we react in the right way and, with that in mind, plenty of work has been carried out on the training ground.

We’ve gone through a number of things and spent a lot of hours on the pitch, which has been hard but enjoyable. I think we’ll see the benefit of it this weekend and we have to make sure that we use what happened as an early wake up call.

Plymouth will be another tough test after their promotion from League Two last season, but they’ve also had an indifferent start and suffered their own 5-0 defeat against Bristol City in the Carabao Cup.

We’ve had a look at their style of play, but we never really focus too much on the opposition. We mainly look at how we can hurt them and that will be the case on Saturday.

We know it’s a big game and we’re fired up to show what we can do to get ourselves back on track after last weekend’s big disappointment.
