THURROCK registered their first win of the season, seeing off Gravesend 14-11.
The victory came after the T’s had been beaten 33-27 by Cobham in their opening fixture.
And their director of rugby Dean White was happy to have got back on track despite being disappointed not to have won by a bigger margin.
“We are happy that we got the away win this week but we are also slightly disappointed with the amount of chances that we missed out on,” said White.
“Our conversation rate has to improve and it’s something we will be working on.
“We had a number of positives to take from the game and I hope this is a big step in the right direction.
“We now have the big task of taking on one of the favourites this season in Medway and they have had a very big start to the season.
“But our home crowd could make all the difference and we are hoping for a big turnout this weekend.”
