BILLERICAY Town and Thamesmead Town will go head-to-head once again on Tuesday to decide who will progress in the FA Cup.
Jake Robinson gave Glenn Tamplin’s side an early lead, but Tom O’Connor equalised for the hosts.
Josh Urquhart was dismissed before the break and the Isthmian Premier League leaders were unable to register a win with 10 men.
Billericay started brightly and Robinson notched his 11th goal of the season - and his ninth in his last five outings.
The striker let fly from 25 yards out found the roof of the net.
Louie Theophanous also tested Lewis Carey in the early exchanges, but Thamesmead hit back on 25 minutes.
O’Connor’s low strike found a way past Alan Julian to get the home side back on level terms.
And Thamesmead grew further in confidence as Urquhart was shown a straight red card eight minutes before the break.
Urquhart’s dismissal resulted in Billericay going down to 10 men inside the first half for the second time in their last three outings.
But unlike in the 1-0 win over Leatherhead - which saw Paul Konchesky given his marching orders - Billericay were unable to go on and triumph.
Jermaine Pennant saw a second half free kick stopped, while Julian made two impressive saves to stop Thamesmead going in front.
Jamie O’Hara made his first appearance of the campaign when he came on at the interval, but both sides will meet again in a replay.
Billericay Town: Julian, Urquhart, Foley (Ellul 41’), Waldren, Swaine, Deering (O’Hara 45’), Evans, Pennant, Modeste (Cunnington 45’), Theophanous, Robinson
