A LAST-MINUTE penalty denied Concord Rangers a first away win of the season at Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Kyron Farrell had put the Beach Boys ahead with a well taken first league goal of the season.

But they were pegged back late on, with Steve King red-carded for the foul which led to the penalty, as the points were shared.

The Beach Boys settled after a flurry of early corners for the home team, with Lewis Taaffe forcing the first save of the day from Sam Howes.

Marvin Morgan headed wide for Hampton as the pressure began to grow, Max Kretzschmar blasting narrowly over.

But Concord took the lead out of nothing. On 26 minutes, Farrell sent a terrific volley into the far corner to make it two goals in as many games.

Hampton continued to threaten, without truly threatening Louis Wells as they held out until half-time.

Into the second-half, Bradley Hudson-Odoi hit the post following a mazy run into the box with Hampton probing.

And there was a twist in the tale. King committed the foul in the box on Morgan and Hudson-Odoi slid home the equaliser.
