A LARGE number of potential new players showcased their talents at East Essex Sabres’ second try-outs session.
All positions on the team were up for grabs, meaning that last season’s regular starters will be fighting for their positions in the new campaign.
And Sabres head coach Lee Joseph was impressed with those on show.
Joseph said: “I was very encouraged and pleased with the amount of new guys that came along to try out for the team.
“There was some very good talent that I’m sure will bring something extra to the team.
“I am confident that, with the current team and the new talent that will join us, we will have a very good 2018 campaign.
“The excitement is already building within the squad for next year.”
If you are interested in trying the sport, join the Sabres for training on November 12, 19 or 26, from 11am-2pm, at the Deanes School, Rayleigh.
