THE MATCH: Concord Rangers will be aiming to make it three National League South wins on the trot when they welcome Wealdstone to the Aspect Arena this weekend.

Adam Flanagan’s side have defeated Chippenham Town and Bognor Regis Town in their last two league encounters, while they also progressed to the quarter-finals of the Essex Senior Cup with a 5-0 win over Aveley on Monday.

Despite their upturn in form, the Beach Boys still find themselves only three points above the drop zone.

But the victory over Aveley, along with recent performances, will result in Concord going into this clash with renewed confidence.

However, Wealdstone will also be vying for a valuable win, as they are only a point outside of the top seven.

THE INSIGHT: “The players have worked hard over the last nine games to help make small strides forward and the effort and commitment they have shown has been a big positive," said Flanagan.

"I am now challenging the players to bring even more to their performances as we want to push away from the lower end of the league and for this to happen we need to continue to improve.

"We need to continue to be difficult to beat and build on our attacking play.

"I see Wealdstone as being one of the bigger clubs in the division and they should be challenging every season at this level.

“They have a fantastic loyal fanbase which seems to increase year on year and they have assembled a large squad filled with talented players.

“They are in very good form having beaten Chelmsford and Braintree recently and they drew at Dartford a few weeks back as well. They are a high energy team under the new management and so it will be a game where we match this enthusiasm as a minimum.

"If we are competitive in this aspect then this will hopefully enable us to get a positive outcome from the game.”
