THE MATCH: After failing to hit top spot on Tuesday, Billericay Town will be determined not to give up any more ground in the Isthmian Premier League title race.

Glenn Tamplin’s team head to Staines Town tomorrow, with just six points separating the division’s second and third best teams ahead of kick-off.

Billericay have three games in hand on Staines but will be wary of the threat the chasers pose.

Staines have lost just once in the league since the end of September and are on a four match winning streak in the league.

THE INSIGHT: “They have always been a good side and I fancied them to be up there from the start of the season,” said assistant manager Harry Wheeler.

“They have two good forwards (Elliott Buchanan and Mohamed Bettamer) who have goals in them, although the team can be up and down.

“We hope to catch them on a bad day.

“We trained last night for the first time in a month because of the amount of games we have been playing. We needed that and we will be fully prepared and organised.

“It is important to win against the teams around you. We won seven games in a row after the Leatherhead defeat and we want to get back on form like that.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Kevin Foley, Jamie O’Hara and Billy Bricknell miss out through injury. Rob Evans returns.
