HULLBRIDGE Sports can beat leaders Redbridge tomorrow.

That is the view of manager Darren Manning, despite his side propping up the Essex Senior League and tomorrow’s opponents sitting top.

Sports will bid to continue their good form under new boss Manning against the table-toppers tomorrow afternoon.

And Manning now wants a continuation of the foundations he has laid in place come kick-off.

“I am over the moon if I am honest,” he said. “We changed the shape and personnel and we have kicked on and that is down to the players.

“We know what Redbridge are about. I played them when I was at Grays in the FA Cup earlier this season and I know some of their guys. We have a game plan and we need to get going quickly.

“These are not the games that will keep us up. We need to focus on the games against the bottom ten teams. People will see us getting points against Redbridge as a bonus but I expect us to win, I believe in this group.”

Goalkeeper Jamie Merralls is suspended and Jordan Meikle misses out.

Great Wakering Rovers could climb three places to second if they get the better of FC Romania in another match towards the top of the table.

Wakering, who saw their midweek game postponed because of the freezing weather, visit the second-placed side bidding to continue their excellent form.

Winners in their last six league games, few teams are in better form than Iain O’Connell’s team, who will be without the suspended Ollie Woodhouse.

Southend Manor will be hopeful of a return to form against Waltham Forest.

There have been six goals in each of Manor’s last four games, although they only have two points to show for their efforts.

However, they have accrued seven more points than tomorrow’s opponents. Lee Delf misses out through injury.

Basildon United are favourites to take the points at Tower Hamlets, knowing victory will take them onto 50 points.
