Great Wakering Rovers can leapfrog FC Romania into second with victory at their Essex Senior League promotion rivals tonight.
Wakering, winners in 13 of their last 14 games, head into the match in confident mood after back-to-back wins over Redbridge and Takeley.
“Romania are definitely promotion rivals and they will be a hard nut to crack,” said Wakering boss Iain O’Connell. “They play good football and are physical.
“Neil Richmond showed a great attitude to come off the bench and score the penalty he won at the weekend and we now are focusing on this game.”
Wakering have no new injuries ahead of the clash.
Basildon’s clash at Hullbridge Sports yesterday was postponed.
