THE MATCH: Billericay Town’s seemingly peerless march towards the Isthmian Premier League title continues against Leiston tomorrow.

Town were 5-0 winners against Lowestoft Town on Tuesday, with Sam Deering scoring twice and assisting the other three goals in a mesmerising display.

Leiston were expected to challenge near the summit at the start of term, but have fallen short of expectations.

Currently 10th in the league, Leiston have lost their last three home matches while Town boast an unbeaten record in all 20 of their away matches so far this season.

Town can hit 70 points for the season tomorrow and, with 60 points still up for grabs this term, Billericay look likely to smash a record points total in the months ahead.

THE INSIGHT: “It is nice to have that gap now,” said captain Dean Inman. “It has been tough with postponed games but we have always believed we can stretch away in the league.

“We go out to win every game and that applies tomorrow. Teams make it hard for us away from home and we were not happy with our last away game against Met Police [2-2 draw].

“We have had to grind out some results on the road but we feel no-one can stop us if we play to our potential.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Inman returns from a metatarsal injury, while Calum Butcher is available following suspension. Luke Rooney could feature if his international clearance comes through by midday tomorrow.
