BILLERICAY Town have completed the loan signing of Tom Conlon.

The midfielder has joined the Isthmian Premier League table-toppers on an initial 28-day loan from League Two side Stevenage and could go straight into Town’s side at Folkestone Invicta tomorrow night.

And having already added Luke Rooney, Scott Doe and Liam Hughes to his side in the last seven days, Billericay boss Glenn Tamplin says he is already preparing for next season.

Tamplin said: “Liam (Hughes) played very well on his debut against Corinthian-Casuals and I think that at this stage of the season, you need to start building for the next season, so that’s what we’re doing.

“A bit of fresh blood makes people fight for their places more, so I wanted to keep the desire there for them to win their shirt.

“Tom and Liam have played in League Two, while Calum (Butcher) came in recently and has played in League One and got to two play-off finals in two years.

“They are big signings, but big names want to come here now because we have actually done what we said we were going to do.

“People thought I was just going to talk the talk, but I’ve walked the walk.

“The players have done that as well and we’ll do the same next season.”

Meanwhile, Louie Theophanous has joined Woking on a deal until the end of the season and Elliot Kebbie has departed the club by mutual consent.

Tamplin added: “A few players have gone recently.

“We came to an agreement with Elliot, and it has all been done amicably.”
